Meet Bryce Tod, Caroline Murray and Frazer Murray, the team behind Boveto, one of the 22 ventures participating in the Sprout Accelerator Spring26 Cohort.
We caught up with the team for a quick-fire five questions in five minutes to learn more about Boveto and what they hope to achieve from their time in the Sprout Accelerator.
1. Tell us about Boveto. What are you building?
Boveto is about making animal health recording and treatment management easier for farmers. We're building a voice-activated assistant that fits into everyday farm life, allowing farmers to record interventions as they happen, access the information they need and stay on top of their animal health responsibilities without adding more paperwork or another complicated system. The idea is simple: record it once and Boveto does the rest, connecting information across existing systems and giving vets better visibility of what's happening on farm.
2. What problem are you working to solve?
Farmers are busy, particularly during spring, they're juggling farm responsibilities, treatment decisions, recording, withholding periods and making sure everyone on farm knows what's happening. Information is often recorded later, across different systems, or sometimes not at all. This creates challenges for farmers, but it also means vets have limited visibility of how their prescriptions are actually being used. At an industry level, we have an increasing need to understand and demonstrate responsible antimicrobial use, but we still rely heavily on medicine sales data rather than actual on-farm use. We think the solution starts by making life easier for farmers, because if we get that right, everyone benefits.
3. Tell us about your solution?
We're developing Boveto to work alongside farmers, using voice technology to make recording treatments as easy as having a conversation. Rather than expecting farmers to stop what they're doing and enter information another way, Boveto is designed to capture information at the point of treatment, help farmers follow the right protocols and manage withholding periods. Importantly, we don't want to create another standalone system. Our aim is to connect the information farmers and vets already use, so it only needs to be entered once. For farmers, that means less administration, fewer mistakes and greater confidence. For vets, it means better visibility of animal health treatments and antimicrobial use, helping them provide more timely, informed advice.
4. What is the next important milestone for your venture?
Our next big milestone is getting the voice technology to a point where we can put Boveto into the hands of more farmers and test it in real farming conditions. We want to make sure it works where it matters most: in a busy dairy shed, with noisy equipment, different accents and people who don't have time to stop what they're doing. It's about proving that we can make recording genuinely easier, understanding how farmers use it and using that feedback to shape the next stage of development.
5. What are you hoping to get out of your time with Sprout?
For us, Sprout is a great opportunity to step outside the day-to-day development of Boveto and challenge our thinking. We all bring different experience across farming, veterinary medicine and industry, but building and scaling a business is a different challenge. We're keen to learn from people who've been through that journey, make connections across the agritech industry and sharpen our thinking around how we take Boveto to market. Most importantly, we want to come out of Sprout with a clearer path to turning what we think is a really practical solution into something farmers genuinely want to use every day.
