Sprout Welcomes Its Largest Sprout Accelerator Cohort

Sprout is proud to introduce the Sprout Accelerator Spring26 Cohort, bringing together 22 ventures all working to advance technology and innovation across the agrifood value chain.

The largest Sprout Accelerator cohort to date reflects the exciting level of ideas and expertise emerging from Aotearoa’s innovation ecosystem.

From animal health, farm intelligence and biosecurity to functional foods, climate resilience, sustainable materials and new production technologies, the Spring26 ventures are tackling challenges that matter to our primary industries, communities and environment.

Kylah Morrison, Head of Programmes and Partnerships at Sprout, says the cohort will bring new ideas, perspectives and momentum to the wider Sprout ecosystem.

“Every cohort brings a fresh wave of energy and ambition to the Sprout community. We're looking forward to backing the Spring26 founders with the mentorship, networks and hands-on support they need to advance the latest technology and innovation across New Zealand's agrifood value chain.”

Throughout the Sprout Accelerator, the founders will work alongside experienced mentors, industry specialists, partners and fellow entrepreneurs to strengthen their startup foundations, articulate their opportunities and prepare for the next stage of their venture journeys.

The programme is also an opportunity for the founders to form valuable relationships across Sprout’s national and international ecosystem, connecting with people who can challenge their thinking, open doors and help turn promising innovations into scalable businesses.

Co-funded by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment and Sprout’s partners including AGMARDT, CEDA and industry partners, the 16-week accelerator is now in its eleventh year supporting founders to discover, articulate and refine the foundations to grow global startups.

Jenny Douché from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment shares, "Founders are at the heart of Aotearoa’s innovation economy. This cohort showcases the depth of talent and ambition emerging across the agrifood sector, and MBIE is pleased to support Sprout in helping these startups test ideas, build momentum and accelerate their path to growth."

We are grateful to all of our partners, mentors and wider Sprout community who continue to contribute their knowledge, experience and support to each Sprout Accelerator cohort.

Please join us in welcoming the Sprout Accelerator Spring26 Cohort.
