Software that enables agricultural contractors to reduce admin hours has been named one of eight start-ups selected to take part in the inaugural Sprout agritech business accelerator programme.
Taranaki man Chris West, saw a gap in the market while working as a contractor, and made it his mission to create, Agtract, a simple management system that could ease the difficulties involved in job management, invoicing and payroll, so contractors had more time to focus on building a stronger business for clients.
Sprout Programme Manager James Bell-Booth says the selection committee was impressed by West’s approach to productivity.
“Agtract is a simple system that makes administration jobs more efficient, freeing up employees so they can focus on the job at hand, rather than getting bogged down in paper work. Effective business process can have a marked impact on overall efficiency,” says Bell-Booth.
